Thanks wineland....

Travis is a common sight at Big Daddy Love Shows - I may have spoken with him briefly at FloydFest this year as there was only one taper rig set up for the VIP sound check party wednesday night before the fest kicked off.

Good stuff - I take it you will be going to the RRE NYE run?

We usually have plans for NYE with the wineland clan, so probably not on the 31st. Right now I have the 29th and 30th on the calendar. I can't imagine a better band will be in town that night.

See you next week for crab cakes, then on 11/24 at the OBX Brewing Station for Big Daddy.

I'm going to ride out Sandy down in Manteo. Just hope the electricity stays on for The Walking Dead.

Be safe safe Rick.

We are safe, thank you for your concern. I don't think North Carolina is in for anything like what New Jersey is going to get. I scored a couple pounds of fresh local green shrimp this morning, along with a few Bigeyes so I'm in good shape...

Thanks D, you too - keep your head down. The OBX folks know how to handle things - as do you, so this should be a non-event for you. So far, so good....some wind and rain but I think we are going to be fine. This time tomorrow we should be in the clear. Test ran the generator yesterday, gassed up the trucks and staged the emergency kits and bug out bags - not expecting to need them, but since it is a law that the power only goes out at night, I don't want to be frogging around in the dark looking for stuff.

Mrs. Mando and I just finished making a big pot of chili - 26 different kinds of home grown peppers in this one.

Sweet: Green bell, Carolina Gold bell, Chocolate bell, Red bell, Orange bell, Red Marconi, Yellow Marconi, Sweet banana, Anaheim, Poblano, Red Corno di Toro, Purple Beauty bell.

Hot: Hot banana, Ghost, Trinidad Butch "T", Trinidad Scorpion Tail, Carribean Red, Yellow Fatali, Orange habanero, Scotch Bonnett habanero, Red Savina habanero, White habanero, Chocolate habanero, Willy pepper, Lantern pepper, Thai Dragon pepper, Chinese 5 Color Aji.

Fukushima ain't got nothing on me.....

What night is good for 219 crabcakes?
